Tara Baanen-Kinsey, Lesotho

Mission Statement:
To make a difference to the Sesotho people living in the remote villages in the high mountains of Lesotho by sharing God’s love amongst the shepherds and vulnerable children through education, aid and support.

Since moving to live in the village of Ha Rameno in 2025, a village without water or sanitation, Tara has experienced many miracles and signs of God’s leading and support during her struggles and has achieved the following:

  • A good relationship with the inhabitants of Ha Rameno and other villages;

  • Set up a shepherds school with a teacher and a cook;

  • Started a preschool;

  • Distributed 15 Sesotho Bibles which are such a blessing as many people are illiterate;

  • Given out Food Parcels, boots, clothing and hygiene products;

  • Made contact with Lokisa Water Project, an NGO from Australia, who have amazingly installed a longdrop toilet and 6 drinking water taps.

Prayer points:

  • Praise God for all He has achieved so far in this forgotten high mountain village and surroundings;

  • Pray for the right paperwork for the new land so we can build our own huts and storeroom;

  • Praise God for the work already done on the mountain passes to make Ha Rameno more accessible; ( now the main transport of supplies is carried out by donkeys) and for the right 4x4 vehicle to be found for Tara.

  • Please keep Tara in your prayers for protection against the spiritual darkness and attacks from witch doctors.

  • Please keep Bongani the teacher and Mme Malisebo the cook in your prayers too.
    Thank you.
