Safeguarding Vulnerable Children and Adults

Christ Church Heiloo is a member of the Anglican Convocation Europe, and is committed to the Church’s official policies concerning safeguarding of vulnerable groups.

We preach God’s grace in creating and saving us, and so we place the highest priority on the care and nurture of vulnerable people, adults or children, in a safe environment.

Reporting Suspected Abuse

Everyone has a responsibility to be vigilant in spotting incidents of abuse. If you become aware of abuse please contact the safeguarding coordinator as soon as you can (see below for details). You can also talk to your Chaplain or one of the Church Wardens.

The Safeguarding coordinator will get back to you as soon as possible. A diocesan officer will then ensure that the concerns are properly investigated and will let you know what the outcome is. In addition it is of course your right and duty as a citizen to inform the local law enforcement agencies where you believe a criminal offense has been committed.

Contact the local church's Safeguarding team

If you have any questions or concerns regarding safeguarding matters, or if you wish to report an issue, it is important to reach out to the local church's safeguarding team. They are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all community members. Your inquiries and reports will be taken seriously and handled with the utmost confidentiality and care. The safeguarding team is trained to provide support and guidance, so do not hesitate to contact them if you need assistance or have information to share. Remember, it’s vital to voice your concerns to help create a safe environment for everyone.
